Kilmarnock Magic CircleThe next ten years saw a further increase in club members joining, ranging from the novice to the more experienced performer. Malcolm Wilson won the Blackpool Children's Competition in 2005 Following in her husband's footsteps Elizabeth McNamara was made President of SAMS 2006-07. A Night Of Magic was held in 2008 at the Galston Community Centre to celebrate the club's 70th Birthday. This was a great success with all members of the club taking part in our birthday celebrations. At the 2008 SAMS Convention Michael Neto, won The Best Overall Effect in the Close Up Competition. The 2009 SAMS convention held at Montrose, saw Michael Neto win the John Ramsay Rose Bowl for the best Close Up Effect and the Anne Warlock Trophy for the Most Entertaining Close Up Act. Kilmarnock Magic Circle also won the Sir Alexander Cannon Trophy for having the most points in the Legerdemain League.
The 2010 SAMS Convention held at Greenock saw Kilmarnock Magic Circle walk away with 5 trophies. Michael Neto won the Anne Warlock Trophy for the best performance of Table Top Magic, William Williamson won the Max Raskin Cup for the best children's ten minute magic act, William Williamson won the Harold McMillan Shield for the best ten minute stage magic act, William Williamson was awarded the Murray Wand for Showmanship. For the second year runnuing, Kilmarnock won the Sir Alexander Cannon Trophy for having the most point in the Legerdemain League. Kilmarnock was thrilled to hear that, Kenny Kerr has been appointed Vice President for the SAMS Convention 2011. He will become President of the Society in 2012, SAMS 61st Anniveersary and Kilmarnock's 74th Anniversary.
