Lecture: Peter McLanachan's "A Force Much Greater Than Luck" : 24th February
Kilmarnock Magic Circle played host to Peter McLanachan's lecture. "A Force Much Greater Than Luck" is a lecture on card magic which takes magicians step-by-step through card effects ranging from easy to intermediate skill levels. S.A.M.S Convention Dundee 2011 update.
All the competitions are now fully booked. Raffle tickets have been handed out to support the convention. These should try to be sold by the next meeting 24th March, when Roger Caseby visits Kilmarnock Magic Circle.
Scottish Magical Night: 20th January
Our first night of 2011, was an evening of magic based on a Scottish Theme. Members were entertained with everything from "Shug the Dug" to Mentalism. A varied and entertaining magical evening was made complete with our own mini Burns Supper.
Scottish Association of Magical Societies 2012
Kilmarnock Magic Circle is thrilled to announce that the 2012 SAMS Convention, presided over by Kenny Kerr will be held in none other than Kilmarnock, Park Hotel.
Lecture byTommy Templeton: 25th November
Kilmarnock Magic Circle were entertained tonight by Tommy Templeton. Tommy performed and explained many tricks and techniques in an informative and entertaining way covering everything from Card Tricks to Stand Up Routines. There was also a chance to purchase some of Tommy's tricks and acts.
Interclub Social Night: 7th October
Kilmarnock's first InterClub Social night was a great success. Over 40 guests attended the night from Paisley Magic Circle, West Lothian Magic Circle and St Andrews Magic Circle. Honorary Member Matt Fallow attended the night, celebrating his 86th Birthday, and Member William Williamson celebrated his 21st wedding anniversary with wife Irene.
Open Magic Night: Perform and Explain 9th September
Kilmarnock Magic Circle's Session for 2010/2011 opened with great success. After a brief photo shoot with our trophies, members performed a trick and then showed and explained how the trick worked. A wide range of tricks were performed by many members and I'm sure that old and young learnt something new. The new syllabus were handed out and we have a packed magical year ahead of us.
What looks to be an entertaining night has been introduced for October with an Inter Club Showcase Night, Compered by our President Kenny Kerr. Our winning S.A.M.S entries Michael Neto and William Williamson will recreate their winning acts for the guests, as well as magic performed by club members and our visiting guests.
Social and Competition Night 2010
Our final night of session 2009/2010 was a great success. Three competitions took place with many members and junior members performing and entertaining. The evening ended with a performance from Billy Williamson, performing the act he won with, at SAMS 2010. The winners of tonight's competitions were:

Scottish Association of Magical Societies: New Vice President
We are pleased to inform everyone that Kenny Kerr is the new Vice President of SAMS residing over the convention 2011 in Dundee, where he will become President for the SAMS Convention 2012.

Annual General Meeting : 20th May 2010
At the recent AGM, New posts were elected. As of now, Kenny Kerr is now the President of the Club, with Andrew Speirs taking on the role of Vice President. Elizabeth McNamara will continue her role as Secretary and Treasurer, Graeme Taylor takes on the role of Librarian for the Club.
New Members.
Kilmarnock Magic Circle is pleased to announce that we now have have four new members as of January 201o: Graeme Taylor, Stephen Brown, Andrew Speirs and Martyn Taylor. We are also pleased to introduce many new guest members to the club this year.
Visitation from SAMS President: March 25th 2010
Tonight we were visited by SAMS President: George Colvan and his wife. George entertained us all with a brief history of SAMS and the work he does as President, before showing us a variety of tricks. After a break of cake to celebrate George's Birthday, members entertained George with a variety of more tricks.
President's Night: February 25th 2010
Tonight saw a varied collection of magic being performed from card tricks to children's magic. An excellent routine was also performed by honorary member Brother Storrie at the start and end of the evening.
Burns Night: January 21st 2010
2010 started with a great magical night celebrating everything Burns and Scottish. The evening was a great success, including a variety of magic tricks, even a spooktacular seance, ending with the inituation of two new members.
